About the Book and Its Author
Cynthia Cournoyer is a popular anti-vaccine author. Her book What About Immunizations? was first published in 1983 after she researched arguments
against vaccinating children. Today, the movement to question the safety
and effectiveness of all vaccines is much more main-stream than it was
25 years ago.
Cynthia’s degree in geography helped form her perspective on vaccination - that it is an inseparable part of our culture and that the practice continues because of a pervasive "vaccine philosophy" stronger than any political or economic structure in society.
Once a certified natural childbirth educator, Cournoyer began questioning vaccines after the birth of her first child in 1981. She saw a pattern in how parents who doubted the reasoning behind the practice of vaccinating were also legitimately concerned for their children.
Due to the growing demand for more information about the immunization controversy, Cournoyer is working on the seventh edition of What About Immunizations? Exposing the Vaccine Philosophy which will be fully updated and revised.
